He and his wife, Cynthia, produced the documentary film \u003cem\u003eOutside In,\u003c\/em\u003e about San Quentin’s death row; and he was a member of the MIRC Film Collective that made the documentary film \u003cem\u003ePor Que Venimos,\u003c\/em\u003e in which undocumented immigrants told their stories. As producer of the original Courage to Resist Audio Project, he interviewed members of the military who refused to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan and, along with Sarah Lazare and Cynthia Whitman-Bradley, turned those interviews into the oral history book \u003cem\u003eAbout Face: Military Resisters Turn Against War.\u003c\/em\u003e He is a member of the nonviolent direct action affinity group ¡Presente!, and has participated over the years in all manner of “street politics”—everything from guerilla theater, marches, and demonstrations, to civil disobedience.
